Broken Paradigm Gives Razed by Rebels a Nine-Track Album for Industrial Rock Listeners
Jason Winfield’s Austin Collective Recorded Nine Dystopian Rock Songs Across Three Texas Studios
Nine tracks, three Texas studios and three guest singers make up the Broken Paradigm album from Razed by Rebels. The project, led by Austin-based creative Jason Winfield, released it on 15 November 2025, with Hope Irish, Alva Sim and Alexandra Ayoob as guest vocalists. It is built for listeners who like their industrial rock dark, loud and theatrical.
Razed by Rebels’ Broken Paradigm is in the playlist below, so the wall of sound is one click away, and the project’s earlier coverage lives on the Razed by Rebels artist profile. The album reached BestMusic.News through PopHits.Co Music Charts, which verifies independent artists and places their releases across its network of music news desks. Hit play on the opener, then read on for who this record is for.

Who This Record Is For
The audience is easy to describe. The album suits listeners who grew up on the industrial rock and dramatic alternative rock of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Critics have compared the project’s sound to a collision of Nine Inch Nails, Muse and System of a Down, and that triangle is a fair map of where it sits.
The sound matches the description. Aggressive guitar riffs sit over pulsing industrial rhythms, while soaring, melancholic vocals carry the melodies. The whole record runs to about half an hour, so it plays like a single act of a film rather than a long double album.
The themes are heavy too. Across the nine tracks, the lyrics deal with resilience, identity, internal conflict and the cost of standing by your convictions. The setting is dystopian throughout, and titles such as Beware the Hunters, Directive #1 and Heaven’s Gate keep that story moving.
The guests each take one song. Hope Irish sings on the opener, Until It’s Over. Alva Sim joins The Nobodies, a reworking of the Marilyn Manson song, and Alexandra Ayoob appears on Together We’ve Lost. Two of those songs went out as singles first, Until It’s Over in September 2025 and Together We’ve Lost in October.

The Early Response to the Broken Paradigm Album Set Razed by Rebels Beside Nine Inch Nails
The first reviews agreed on the reference points. At Pitch Perfect, Jamie Funk said the album pulled him back about twenty years, to late nights with emotionally loaded rock and industrial hybrids. He heard echoes of Nine Inch Nails in the opener’s textures and some of Linkin Park’s angst in its tone. His personal favourite was The Nobodies, and he singled out Shattered Eyes for one of the album’s stronger hooks.
The Gatekeeper Space described an opener that drops a wall of noise with no build-up at all. It also pointed to A Way Through as a mid-album breather and to Heaven’s Gate as a closer that stops at the peak of the tension. In its view, the record pulls the listener in whether they planned it or not.
At Music On The Rox, the track-by-track review read The Nobodies as a song about people who feel ignored, turning that feeling into strength. The site also shared the review on Threads. Meanwhile, indiemusicflix heard the opener as something close to a TRON score and called Hiding Within very Rammstein-esque.

The Community Around the Broken Paradigm Album Runs Through Austin Studios, Guest Singers and Film Festivals
Razed by Rebels is not a fixed band. Instead, it works as a creative collective, with Winfield bringing in different engineers, musicians and artists for each project. That approach explains the album’s range.
The recording reflects it. Broken Paradigm was made across three Texas studios: Blue Rock Artist Ranch and Studio, Orb Recording Studios and The Finishing School in Austin. The guest vocalists come from the local scene, according to the project’s own biography.
The visual side matters just as much. The project’s 2018 debut, the four-track EP Dawn, came with a music video for A New Generation. That video collected 57 official selections and 27 award nominations on the independent festival circuit. In the same spirit, Broken Paradigm arrived with a teaser video on the band’s YouTube channel.
From the BestMusic.News curator team: “Play Until It’s Over and then A Way Through. The first shows the full wall of sound, the second shows the restraint, and the distance between them is what keeps this album from turning into one long shout.”
Where to Hear Razed by Rebels
